Speed awareness training app
AI presenter-led video training built from real track-day footage, heading to the drivers of around 2,000 vans across Sky's field fleet.
Sky's field engineers cover the UK in a fleet of around 2,000 vans. Working with delivery partner Unipart, we are building the fleet's speed awareness training as a mobile app: short, AI presenter-led video modules that drivers watch on their phones. The app was submitted to the App Store in July 2026 ahead of rollout to the fleet.
Speeding is fleet management's most stubborn risk. Telematics now shows operators exactly how often it happens, and at the scale of a national van fleet the numbers are sobering: Sky's fleet records tens of thousands of speeding events every week. The traditional response, classroom sessions and policy emails, rarely changes behaviour on the road. Sky wanted training that drivers would actually watch and take seriously, delivered straight to the people who need it.
A speed awareness training app that lives on the driver's phone. The content is video first: AI presenter-led modules built around real track-day footage, showing the physics of speed, braking distance, and impact rather than telling drivers about them. Modules are short enough to fit around a field engineer's day, so the training reaches drivers where they are instead of pulling them off the road.
