Interactive vehicle experience
A full-size SUV appears in the room in mixed reality, complete with a drivetrain X-ray view, so teams can rehearse walkarounds and customer handovers without a vehicle on site.
Stellantis wanted its teams to be able to present and explain a new SUV model without depending on physical stock. The answer was a mixed reality experience that travels in a headset case and puts the vehicle in the room on demand.
Getting the right vehicle in front of the right people at the right time is a persistent problem in automotive retail and training. Demonstrator stock is limited, moving cars between sites is slow and costly, and the moments that matter most, the walkaround and the customer handover, are exactly the ones that need a car present.
Stellantis saw the opportunity to solve this with mixed reality and asked us to build an experience around the new Frontera SUV.
Through a Meta Quest 3 in passthrough, a full-size virtual SUV sits in the real room, clearly rendered and viewable from every angle. The experience covers three things: a five-point walkaround of the vehicle's key selling points, a customer handover walkthrough that rehearses the moment of delivery, and a drivetrain X-ray view that looks straight through the body to show how the vehicle works underneath.
The user moves around the vehicle naturally and interacts with highlighted points to bring up each stage. The experience is delivered to Stellantis headsets through device management, so updates land without any manual installs.
The experience is deployed on Stellantis headsets and in active demo use, with the latest round of amendments completed in February 2026.
